Everyone has problems , but is it in us to search out god purpose for the problems we have ?

Dr Townstead tries to help you understand why god lets bad things happen , he tries to explain how god brings you closer and influences you to desire him and how god is working behind the scenes.

I found the book a bit uninteresting but that may because its the third of its kind that I have read in a short period of time. Bad things happen , god makes lets it happen , because as you prune a tree to help it grow so does god do with us. Putting us under pressure to instigate change in us and how we view HIM. I had a hard time trying to read this book because it woudl alternate between teh clinical state of being written and the dramatic recreation of potent memories. I would grow tired of droll repitition then be sparked with just enough drama to keep me moving through the book.

I think that this book is not so much about biblical standard as understanding the relationship between god and man and how he prunes and repairs us. I would and have recommended this book to those on their journey to understanding god and trying to understand the dramatic pain and loss that they have felt in their lives.

Its a fairly good book and well worth its weight. WHich is something I value. It may not be at the top of the list but it made the list.
